VBC Rescue Squad is a Non-Profit, All-Volunteer Organization. Each applicant must be approved by the board of directors and serve a probation period of 90 days. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and be a member of their districts Fire Dept. or have some former specialty rescue skills.

Once accepted, members are not obligated to serve any set length of time, but are asked to be active and attend all meetings, training sessions, and functions, when possible.

Before applying, each prospective member should carefully consider his or her personal situation. The Rescue Squad training and mission commitments will require a large amount of time and dedication. A request for an application may be given to any Rescue Squad Member.
